I don't like our new dog... at all? opinions/advice?

The poor little dog! Give her a chance! Your other dog will love having a companion too. I understand that your dog is your special buddy, especially if she's helped you through depression. But this new little pup will bring you lots of joy too. She needs love and i think it's strange you are saying point blank that you'll never bond with her. Sounds more like you don't want to. Are you worried that loving this puppy will diminish your bond with your original pup? It won't. If this puppy isn't going to be loved then please rehome her. It will be hearbreaking for her to see your other dog being loved and not her. She's a baby for goodness sake. Not some asshole cousin that's come to stay that you have nothing in common with.
