I caught my boyfriend in this deep stare at me...what does that mean?

We were in testing and we sat next to each other, but when we were done testing. He likes to sleep and he was just resting his eyes down (his hair is kinda long so it kinda covers his brown eyes with his brown hair) I was reading my book && I turned to him, his eyes were completely fixated on me. I blushed and turned around, look like 20 seconds later, still staring at me. I did that like 7 times && he kept staring at me. I felt like he was just my crush and I caught him staring at me. What does that mean if it isnt just my crush, but my boyfriend?
