I think your thinking is like most girl's and I am a woman, I should know. I did marry a very good looking man who was a rat! It took a long time to find out what was under the surface. All that shines is not gold. I eventually divorced him. Throughout the years, I have found that sometimes you meet a person that is not so great looking but that, once you get to know them, they really become more and more beautiful because their ''soul'' or whatever you want to call the personality, shines through and you cannot help yourself but be attracted. I think you may be losing out by such a triage. Also, let yourself shine through, I doubt that you are just average. Smile and you will find that you too are really beautiful and people won't be able to resist you. I am almost 70, smile a lot and strangers are always coming to me and smiling back. Give a smile to one person, that person will in turn to someone else and pretty soon, the whole world will be smiling. I hope this helps.
